Seventh Batch of UAP Files Released
A matte-black triangle, climbing in silence
In June 2026 two federal special agents watched a matte-black, non-reflective triangular object rise vertically and completely silently 200–300 ft above a sensitive national-security site in the western US, hover ~20 seconds, then turn and dive into a canyon in 2–3 seconds. Thermal imagery showed a uniform heat signature with no exhaust plume. All 28 files in this tranche are PDFs, alongside a 2010 Skinwalker Ranch field report and a 1957 B-52 gunsight return.

The Department of War released the seventh PURSUE tranche:
28 items, all PDF documents — the first tranche with no video, audio or standalone image files at all (some PDFs embed images). Documents span 1949–2026; across seven tranches roughly 536 items are now public. About 11 of the 28 carry redactions (all nine AAWSAP/BAASS files plus the two 2026 triangle records); the other 17 show none. Contributing agencies are led by the Department of War / AARO, with one FBI FD-302 interview form and single EOP and cross-agency (USG) files on 1960s space-debris recovery policy.
The headline file is
DOW-UAP-D176: an AARO memorandum for record interviewing two federal special agents about a matte-black triangular object seen in June 2026 above a sensitive national-security facility in the western US — 13–15 ft span, 1–2 ft thick, rising vertically in complete silence, hovering, then diving into a canyon at speed. Thermal imagery showed a uniform heat signature with no exhaust plume; a ground search the next day found no debris. AARO calls the case consistent with other events in the area and worth further investigation, but states plainly that
no instrumented speed measurement was obtained (the widely quoted 1,800 mph is a reporter's arithmetic from "1.5 miles in 3 seconds"). The companion
FBI-UAP-D043 records the same event on an FD-302 form with nine annotated landscape reconstruction images; the FBI account compresses the sighting to about 3 seconds while the AARO memo describes a sequence lasting over 30 seconds, and neither document explains the discrepancy.
Historical material is substantial:
D174 is a 60-page BAASS field report from a Utah ranch in March–April 2010 (the document itself names Skinwalker Ranch), recording testimony about "dog-like bipedal creatures" and orbs;
D175 is a 141-page BAASS capability self-assessment using ANSYS modelling of radar cross-section and aerodynamics, including a simulation of the 2004 Nimitz "Tic Tac" encounter — the only Nimitz material in this tranche, and an engineering exercise rather than a Navy incident report. Also included: a 1957 Saudi Arabia B-52 gunsight return lasting 5–7 minutes, the 1952 Catalina Island scout sighting, a 1949 handwritten letter to Kenneth Arnold, and Col. Howard M. McCoy's 298-page personnel record (he launched Projects SIGN and GRUDGE). This tranche contains
no official Malmstrom, Rendlesham or Nimitz incident reports, and no Japanese cases.
(Note: the official announcement gives no file count; 28 is the consistent figure across media and third-party indexes. The government numbering skips D165 and D172 without explanation. Some outlets report a Roswell / Walter Haut 2002 affidavit in this tranche, but the 28-item index does not contain it, so it is not listed here.)
